  • Eyni Amin

    Eyni Amin (Seattle, WA)

Throughout my pregnancy, Eyni was an incredible source of knowledge, empathy, and encouragement. She took the time to get to know me and my specific needs and preferences, offering tailored advice and emotional support that made a tremendous difference in my journey. Her calm and reassuring presence was especially comforting during the more challenging moments, and I always felt like I was in safe and caring hands.

  • CariLynn Treadway (Central Florida)

    CariLynn Treadway (Orlando, FL)

“Cari has confidence in herself. She is just as open to others feelings and thoughts. I believe this openness is what makes her relationship with her clients what it needs to be. What makes Carilynn exceptional as a doula is not just her professional training, but her lifelong connection to birth work. She has literally grown up understanding the importance of supportive care during labor and delivery. Her journey from being an eight-year-old comfort coach to a professional doula demonstrates her deep-rooted passion for supporting birthing families.”

  • DNT network Katherine Rancourt

    Katherine Rancourt (Virginia Beach, VA)

From personal experience I had the joy of Kit’s support during the pregnancy and postpartum care of my daughter. It was a true blessing to have her support and assistance during this season of my life. One of Kit’s greatest strengths is her ability to create a safe, judgment-free space where others feel heard, validated, and supported. Kit’s professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills make her exceptionally well-suited for both birth and postpartum doula roles. She is approachable and resourceful.

  • Vixen Divine (Harrisburg, PA)

    Vixen Divine (Harrisburg, PA)

“Vixen has been my massage therapist for over 10 years. I regularly see her per the suggestion of my physician due to chronic pain. I find her to be a good listener. She shows concern for my individual needs.  She makes sure the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. She is compassionate and caring. Vixen focuses on my needs the entire session. She is very knowledgeable in her field. I am a registered nurse and Vixen has excellent “bed side manner”.  Vixen has a genuine desire to help people.  I strongly recommend her for the Birthing and Postpartum Doula program knowing she would do an excellent job. I feel her patients would be very lucky to have such a warmhearted person care for them.”

  • Great question—and you’re not alone. We understand it can be challenging to find someone willing to participate, especially if you're just starting out in the field.

Here are a few options and suggestions:

    • Alternative interviews: If you’re unable to connect with a professional in the required role (e.g., a Certified Infant Care Specialist), you may be allowed to substitute with two caregiver or parent interviews instead. These can be with families you’ve supported in the past or individuals open to sharing their experiences.

    • Reach out to your extended network: Sometimes a friend, coworker, or acquaintance knows someone who fits the criteria—you just have to ask around.

    • Post in local or online groups: Try parenting forums, Facebook groups, Nextdoor, or doula-related communities. Mention that it’s a short interview for a certification course.

    • Use BornBir.com: Our partner platform, BornBir.com, features a large network of birth and care professionals. Many of them are open to mentorship or quick interviews with students from DNT Network.

We’re here to support you, so feel free to reach out if you need any help.
